iPayroll has been helping New Zealand businesses since the early 2000’s and were pioneers in cloud-based payroll services.
Today we continue this payroll journey to future-proof your business, so you can focus on what you do best.
iPayroll is proud to be a pioneer in cloud-based payroll solutions in New Zealand.
With the advancement of technology many things have changed over the years but one thing that has not changed is our commitment to deliver a cloud-based payroll solution to future-proof your business.
We have celebrated plenty of milestones since the early 2000’s but we think these deserve special mention.

In the early 2000s, when most people were using dial-up modems, Martin saw the potential of the Internet. He realised it would allow developers to build cloud-based payroll and HR services cost effectively for small and medium businesses. So, with a couple of developers, he set to work on a solution, building on his experience of providing online payroll solutions for large organisations and government departments.
Today, iPayroll has around 70 employees and over 8,000 customers on both sides of the Tasman. Martin and iPayroll continue to innovate with the latest technologies, apps, and tools, to give customers excellent experience, and reliable and secure payrolls.
Martin completed an MBA at Otago University. He enjoys boating, fishing, golf, snooker, rugby, and travel and is regularly seen at international sporting events throughout the world.
Bronwyn leads the Auckland and Christchurch support teams with a customer-first motto. In her 25 years of working with payroll software, Bronwyn has relished seeing in-house payroll systems transform into cloud-based ones. Outside of work, she’ll be on the water or in the snow.
Belinda leads our Finance Team, focusing on robust internal controls and efficient procedures, drawing on 15 years’ auditing experience with the Big Four accounting firms. In her spare time, she enjoys gardening, travelling, and volunteering with groups like Age Concern.
Martin is passionate to develop technology that is secure, compliant, and easy to use. He has over 20 years' product development, architecture, and integration experience with international organisations. Prior to iPayroll he played a key role in growing Xero's platform to support over 1,000,000 businesses.
Glenda joined us in early 2019, having spent the preceding two years travelling overseas. She has previously worked in Wellington as a Corporate Services Manager, with particular responsibility for Human Resources. Before that she worked in London and Sydney and, when not working, enjoys cooking, travel and reading.
