Experienced Payroll Specialist - Auckland / Wellington

We are currently expanding our team and seeking an Experienced Payroll Specialist to join our Auckland or Wellington Customer Service Support Teams.

This role will primarily be providing day to day front-line helpdesk phone and email support but key will be the implementation and customer training of the iPayroll solution into new customers environments.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has proven end-to-end payroll experience (3 years+ experience running every aspect of payroll)
  • Has excellent communication skills – both written and oral
  • Loves talking and interacting with customers
  • Can front up to a customer’s place of business and represent iPayroll professionally and proficiently as and when required
  • Can solve and explain payroll problems on the fly both over the phone and by email
  • Understands the Holidays Act
  • Has excellent attention to detail
  • Wants to work with a variety of customers from all business sectors
  • Is a team player with a can do, will do, it’s done attitude
  • Enjoys a challenge and wants to learn, grow and be part of a busy, vibrant and friendly team

You will be working closely with others in the support team and interacting with our customers daily via phone and email. You will also be required to visit customers onsite as and when required. This role has plenty of variety and is one where no two days and no two customers are ever the same.

You will be someone that knows payroll and payroll legislation inside out and can clearly explain all facets to a customer that does not have that same knowledge or level of understanding.

Previous payroll experience and solid understanding of the holiday act and other payroll legislation are must haves however full training will be provided in the use of the iPayroll software solution.

We are an office first focused business and you will be required to be in the office Monday to Friday to really be part of the team.
